GuildWiki has good instructions on how to pull off the Dunes bonus. These days I do it the Wiki way, in this picture I completed it with a bit slower method.

In Aurora keep the two crystal locations closest to you under your control at all times. Fighting off the mantle briefly until you need to get another crystal when they cap your second crystal point. Bodyblocking their carrier is nice if the henchies are suitably positioned for it. They'll run out eventually and you are free to kill off the bonus guy.

For Glint, bring Wild Blow or take Little Thom with you. Also interrupt would be nice, but not necessary if you can deal enough damage. Better leave Orion home though if you can't interrupt. Just makes it slower to have him around then.

Bloodstone is just simply running past the guardians. The henchies won't keep attacking them long enough to kill them if you don't stop while running.

Iron Mines is the mission where you get infused right? The henchies do get infused there as well when you bring the stuff to the seer. It's just a bit buggy sometimes. Seems like some of them won't get infused until they die once after the infusion.

Well orginal i would have notten into this game, but D2 was getting lame and my brother picket up the CE of Guildwars a month after it came out. He wasn't into it, i was and the rest is histroy. I got the CE of Factions and i was total into that, i loved it, i though it was very well put togeather(not the story line, but the modeling) and then their is Nightfall, i will get the CE of that too. So i'm offical going to say NF will rule, from the looks it will be alot better then Factions, but then again for someone who liked factions, is that really saying much. So ya its worth it.

I feel like Anet was pressured a bit by NCsoft to do things like "fix" the ranger NPCs AI so that the 4 Avicara rangers are more deadly than a balanced group of Avicara with a boss, and make the henchies even stupider than they already were. However the henchie thing could just be them using hero AI to tweak it before Nightfall release, instead of their (probably heavily scripted) previous AI. Of course perhaps the NPC rangers just haven't been tweaked/rebalanced yet, and the henchies may get their old AI back once heros are out for all I know. However, I will say that heros will make a major difference is many things now that we know for certain they'll be able to be transfered between chapters. I always said that I thought they would be, partially because I think NCsoft wants to ensure everyone who plays buys Nightfall, and partially to alleviate the concerns of too few players with them being spread out between chapters.

In my opinion Nightfall will be well worth my puchasing dollars, I can only hope my idle speculation about NCsoft pressuring Anet to make henchies much less viable is just that, idle speculation. I play enough Guild Wars that I will continue to purchase and play any forthcoming chapters however, regardless of popular opinion of their gameplay.

I was a huge fan of Factions, I think that Kaineng City (and surrounding areas) are one of the best gaming environments I've had the pleasure to enjoy. I've probably run the city quests with guildies four dozen times, just because I know the city better than anyone else in my guild. Factions was PVP oriented, it tossed players into the thick of difficult battles as soon as it could and I enjoyed that about it. However, I can see where the pace of Nightfall is a happy medium between getting to level 20 in less than eight hours playtime, and Prophy where you didn't have all your skill points until you were over half way through with the game.

I for one will be purchasing Nightfall, and looking forward to chapter 4 and all the idle speculation that will surround it before it's released

Its hard to say that right now since we've got only the preview to judge on. But, looking at the map size and the size of the preview area, it seems that NF will have a high chance of being worth the money. (unlike factions )

I would say to wait a bit until after the release to see if the the area outside of the preview is filled with annoying PvP maps (fort aspenwood/jade quarry), annoying PvP score competition maps (dragon's throat/amatz basin) and whether or not if the explorable area is only a tiny portion of the whole map (just look at the factions bottom right, emtpy space ftl).

And most importantly, look to see if there are any good end game areas that isn't locked by some annoying system like the favor or the faction grind system that is in place in factions and prophecies. Hopefully, there will be more than 3.

See what has happed because forced pvp and factions! there is alot of people who want to buy the game but don't trust anet. because of forced (pvp)

It is hard to get away from a bad rep. We all will have to wait untils the game comes out. There are some people are waiting until there is reviews before they buy. Anet did say this pve base. i am going to buy it. The ce at that too.

GWP is my winner and GWF is my disappointment cough cough Elite Missions
the most stupid end game areas which Anet has promised to adjust but leave alone until now.
Sorry back to track now GWN has showned improvements; HOWEVER the preview only provide us the NOOB area which has always highly developed for comercial and marketing.. We still have not heard of any end game areas as well as HERO COMBO OPTION. In the past many game developers had failed to achieve success in making game similar to Hero system.
I doubt that GWN will be better than GWP...may be a little better than GWF
I'll buy the game after I finish NWN2 which has at least 2 years in development and FFXII about 5 years in development.

Once again. It shouldn't be on your list if you feel that way. Your main interest is PvP which you believe that Nightfall has adds no improvement. You even said that Factions was a disappointment to you and it was more PvP influenced. A more PvE influenced Guild Wars this time around should completely turn you away.

You said that you will be getting NWN2, in which you believe to be the better PvE experience. SO GWN should not be any better in your opinion.

Dogg, if two new classes and hundreds of new skills for the existing 8 dont shove pvp action down your throat... then I hope nwn2 has some good pvp action for you... have fun with that

I think it's worth the money if you have nothing new to play with in November and during the holiday.

Hey guys, I don't think he's slamming it. I think maybe he's asking for real opinions, which probably should've been a poll somewhere instead. Moist of you are so jaded though by the naysayers that you're just as bad and probably should leave the forum as you're only making it worse. Kudos to those that actually answered. My answer: I think so and am buying the collector's edition. I like the idea of Heroes, the two classes, and the setting.

Instead of addressing your hamfisted use of reverse psychology or your attempt to tell me what my opinion is, I will ask you to reread what I wrote. Really read it, going word by word, pausing after every one to make sure you've understood it completely. It will then perhaps become clear to you why you have wasted both your time and mine.

I'm really the only one who looks back on earlier versions of games and is like "Why did I play that? This new one is so much better."

The only reason any of my characters even set foot in Prophecies anymore is either for a skill or to see if I can sell an item better in LA than Kaineng.

It will be the same for me with Nightfall and Factions. I'm not saying I didn't get my moneys worth out of the games, I'm just saying that the new ones are so much better that I don't even look back at the old ones. (Which isn't a bad thing.)

Despite your attempt to insult me, I've read it all the last time. And you still attempt to stray from what you've said already.

As for time wasted, no one has held a gun to your head and forced you to reply.

Nightfall has some interesting skills sets, unlike Factions, so I would buy it regardless of what other's think of it.
But I do agree with xXa1 about waiting a little till its cooldown.
